Wedding Fairs 2026/27 in Austria

Every January and September, a series of exciting events for soon-to-be married couples kicks off across Austria. We’ve compiled a list of all our wedding fair dates for the 2026/27 season here for you.

What kinds of wedding fairs are there in Austria?

Until five to ten years ago, the wedding fair market was still clearly dominated by the large wedding fairs held at Austria’s major convention centers. Since then, a wide variety of alternative—and mostly smaller—wedding fair concepts have emerged throughout Austria, so that today there is a multitude of diverse and successful wedding fairs, offering something for everyone.

The Classic Large Wedding Fair

... often takes place in a huge exhibition hall and usually lasts several days. That makes sense, because these fairs feature over 100 exhibitors, and if you want to have a proper conversation with each one, it’s nearly impossible to do so in just one day without overwhelming yourself. The exhibitors at a large wedding fair are usually well-known, long-established companies with larger budgets. Elaborately staged and choreographed bridal fashion shows, held several times a day, have been a true tradition at large wedding fairs since the 1980s. A fair like this is perfect for all couples who want to choose the best option for themselves from as many vendors as possible. Note: Some fairs advertise having 100–200 exhibitors because they also count co-exhibitors—that is, companies that “rent space” from other exhibitors to display their promotional materials—but sometimes these companies aren’t even physically present at the fair.

The Alternative, Smaller Wedding Fair

... takes place in a smaller, but often unique venue and features fewer than 100 exhibitors. At these kinds of fairs or wedding festivals, you’ll usually come across many startups and young companies—so you can discover some real hidden gems. Due to the limited space at the venue, exhibitors are selected with great care and attention. Instead of a fashion show, brides stroll casually through the crowd, and with food trucks, live music, and a keen eye for detail, a lovely atmosphere is created that doesn’t really feel like a trade show. Many of these fairs—such as the Luft & Liebe® Wedding Festival —are also guided by a well-thought-out sustainability concept. A smaller, alternative wedding fair is therefore perfect for anyone who isn’t a fan of the hustle and bustle of large fairs, values craftsmanship, local products, sustainability, and creativity, and wants to discover real hidden gems.
