Festival Wedding Inspired by Burning Man
For years now, we’ve been advising couples like you to get married exactly the way you want to. You should let go of other people’s expectations and celebrate your love in a way that feels right to you. Larry Harvey already had this mindset back in 1948, and to put it into practice, he organized a festival in the Nevada desert with 20 people—the first Burning Man. This small event has not only become the most spectacular, craziest festival in the world, but also the inspiration for this wedding theme.

I originally worked in the social services sector—in group homes for children and adolescents, as well as in counseling, since I actually offer marriage, family, and sex therapy. However, when our two boys—Noah and Eliah—were born, I wanted to have a flexible and unconventional career. Since I love going against the grain, I started officiating independent wedding ceremonies six years ago. Back then, this type of wedding ceremony was still quite unusual and exotic. For me, however, it was the most beautiful and unique way to say “I do” right from the start. That’s why I was determined to make this my calling. And that’s exactly what happened. For me, it’s the best job in the world. And that’s exactly how I’ll design your non-traditional wedding ceremony—I promise.

A non-religious wedding ceremony is an alternative to a church wedding and, if desired, a complement to a civil ceremony. You and your individual wishes for this very special day are at the heart of the celebration. Your love, bond, and togetherness will be celebrated during this ceremony. There are no prescribed rituals, as is usually the case with church weddings. You’ll exchange personal and one-of-a-kind wedding vows. I’ll support you in planning, organizing, and designing your dream wedding with great attention to detail, experience, and professionalism.
What makes your wedding ceremonies special?
“The best things in life can never be kept—they must be given away: a smile, a kiss, and love.” I design my non-religious wedding ceremonies entirely in keeping with this motto—with a lot of heart, humor, and soooo much attention to detail. I’ve prepared very special questions for all my couples, which must be answered separately—the answers form the basis of my speech. This ensures that every non-religious wedding ceremony is truly unique and personalized—and that’s exactly what sets me and my ceremonies apart.
How did you get married?
How could it be any different? We also had a non-religious wedding ceremony in Vorarlberg, up on a mountain, at a secluded mountain hut, with sunshine, rock and reggae music, our loved ones surrounding us, and a few alpine cows watching from the sidelines. The perfect day.
