Sandra is a freelance wedding officiant from Carinthia. This fun-loving, humorous, empathetic, and optimistic wedding officiant loves nature just as much as she loves music. If you ask Sandra what she wants to be for her couples after completing her training as a freelance wedding officiant, she answers spontaneously: “A spotlight”—and to the puzzled faces, she explains that with her words she can honor people, shine a light on them, and make them glow. That’s when this eloquent speaker’s heart truly opens up!
With Sandra, you as a couple decide exactly how you’d like your wedding to be. Everything is possible; nothing is mandatory. From your very first meeting, you’re the center of Sandra’s attention, and that’s how she manages to always keep you front and center—calmly and empathetically—with her carefully chosen words during a truly personalized ceremony.
Whether you’ve envisioned something simple just the two of you, something traditional with family, or something “different”—or even something supposedly “crazy”; whether you want to celebrate an elopement or a destination wedding—Sandra is happy to be by your side as an independent wedding officiant
This vivacious Carinthian loves challenges and uniqueness and lives and works by the motto: “My words may make your hearts beat faster. My heart beats for your ups and downs.” Because she understands that life always brings ups and downs; they’re part of the journey and make us—as individuals and as a couple—unique. Let Sandra design your ceremony, and you’ll experience not only beautiful but also deeply personal, tailored words, rituals, and gestures on your wedding day.
In the lead-up to the ceremony, we’ll have two to three preliminary meetings in the Klagenfurt area and its surroundings (or, upon request, anywhere in Carinthia—I’m happy to meet you where you are) or via Skype. We’ll have an in-depth consultation about the options for shaping your ceremony, such as the order of events, speeches, symbolic acts, or personal rituals. If you have any questions, I’m always here for you. I’m also always available for your loved ones. Authenticity is what matters most during the ceremony: You and I—we want to be genuine—exactly as we are! Let my words and your love make your hearts beat a little faster. You and I—we’ll show your guests what makes you special as a couple. Your ceremony will be planned exactly as you’d like it to be. I’ll lead the ceremony from the moment you enter until you leave. A respectful, dignified speech tailored to you that touches the hearts of both you and your guests. A relaxed and joyful celebration for you is very important to me; you should truly enjoy your day and feel completely at ease. I’ll always be by your side—wherever and however you’d like. I have a high-quality sound system with column speakers (with Bluetooth) and a microphone—feel free to use them if you’d like to incorporate speeches or play music during the ceremony.
I’m a bit like the “Christ Child,” because I bring you “gifts of words” and wrap them in such a personalized way that you’ll know right away that this gift—this one gift—is meant just for you and no one else. Because you are unique, one-of-a-kind, and share a story that can’t be the same as anyone else’s.
No, I don’t replace a wedding planner—in the sense that I’ll take care of all the arrangements for you. But I’m happy to share tips and ideas with you about what you’ll need, how you can bring your vision to life, what rituals we can incorporate, and what options are available. Creativity is in my blood, since I’m also an early childhood educator in my second job. In that line of work, creativity, spontaneity, and a solution-oriented approach are simply essential. Nothing fazes me easily.
I wouldn't say nervous, but focused. I find that full concentration and that brief moment of "looking inward" to be absolutely essential. Because it shows you just how important you and your wedding are to me.
First, freedom! It’s important that you enjoy it (you’re two individuals, not just a couple)—it should work for both of you. Nothing is a must—everything is possible! Second, balance: it should be humorous but not silly, dignified but not stiff. Third, your guests: Your guests are important to me, and I’m happy to include them. Fourth, openness to all religions and viewpoints is also extremely important. And fifth, I pay close attention to your expectations: What are you hoping for? How do you want to feel? Words fade, but the memory of the feeling you experienced in that moment—that remains. I’m happy to support you with my expertise and advice. Sixth, a non-denominational wedding ceremony has no religious basis and isn’t legally binding under civil law. It’s an alternative to a church wedding and a complement to a civil ceremony. Seventh, a non-denominational wedding ceremony can take place anywhere and at any time of day, making it a unique, deeply personal ceremony.
