Why did you become a freelance speaker?
Through my work as a marriage officiant, I’ve had the privilege of accompanying many couples on one of the most beautiful days of their lives. It was precisely there that I realized just how deeply these special stories move me. I love getting to know people, hearing about their journey together, and discovering the little details that make their love unique. Eventually, this passion became more than just an idea, and so, step by step, I grew into the role of a freelance wedding officiant. Today, I love not only accompanying couples mit Worten , but also giving them a ceremony that feels genuine, personal, and truly theirs.
What can we expect during our introductory meeting with you as a wedding officiant?
Honestly? Most of the time, there’s a lot more laughter than planned. Of course, we’ll talk about your story, your wishes, and the ceremony, but often the most beautiful moments happen right in the midst of it all. Little teasing, loving glances, or stories where one of you whispers to the other with a wink, “But really, not everyone needs to know that!” It’s precisely these small, genuine moments that later make my wedding speech so personal and special.
What advice would you like to share with us for our non-religious wedding ceremony?
Your wedding ceremony can be exactly the way you want it to be. Not the way others expect it to be or the way people “should” get married, but exactly the way that feels right to you. Because, in the end, this ceremony isn’t for the guests—it’s for the bride and groom themselves. With tears of joy, nervousness, loud laughter, perhaps a small promise, and a whole lot of emotion. It’s precisely these honest and genuine moments that make a wedding ceremony unforgettable.
