How did you get into this profession?
I’m a real bookworm, and among other things, I devoured a book series about five friends who organized and planned weddings together. It fascinated and left such a lasting impression on me that, more than ten years after reading the books, I took the plunge and can now call myself a wedding planner.
What do you like about the wedding industry?
Weddings always take place against a beautiful backdrop. Every wedding is unique, tells its own story, and captivates me anew every single time. Collaborating with other vendors puts me in an incredibly good mood because it’s all about giving the bride and groom the most beautiful day of their lives. The wedding industry is simply personal, and that’s exactly what I appreciate.
What wedding trend are you noticing right now?
I’m noticing an increasing trend toward sustainability—regional and seasonal food, nearby venues, borrowed decor items, natural design, and even choosing eco-friendly and locally made wedding dresses.
How would you like to get married yourself?
As a winter child, I dream of a snowy wedding, a mulled wine stand, and skiing in my wedding dress from the ceremony to the reception venue. Or a summer festival wedding with food trucks, flowers in my hair, and going barefoot. Or a Harry Potter-themed wedding. Maybe I can even combine all of them? :)!
What’s your personal moment of happiness at weddings?
It’s hard to pinpoint my personal moment of joy—there are so many moments that give me goosebumps. But the one time I always have to blink away a tear or two is definitely when the bride makes her entrance or during the first look. You can practically feel the excitement in the air, and for a moment, it seems like the world revolves only around the bride and groom!
