A Conversation with Wedding Photographer Nadia Jabli

Nadia Jabli (34) was born in Belfort, France, and earned her master’s degree in art, literature, and language in Strasbourg. She has lived in Altenmarkt im Pongau since 2005.

How did you get into your profession?
My father always had a camera in his hand when I was growing up, so I was exposed to photography at a fairly early age. I started photography as a hobby, and after graduating from college, my passion eventually became my career. My many travels and encounters with diverse cultures and people have continued to shape my eye for photography ever since.

What do you like about the wedding industry?
I love photographing people—especially on the happiest day of their lives, a day that’s all about love. Capturing those emotions through candid shots to create cherished memories that will bring joy for years to come is my absolute greatest motivation.

You’ve also recently started offering video services, right?
Yes, my partner Sanne has been on board as a videographer since 2020. We’re a great team, both in life and at work. You can see that in the photos and videos.

How would you like to get married yourself?
We were supposed to get married in June 2020, but COVID-19 had other plans. That just means our wedding—which will take place next year in teepees in the mountains—will be all the more beautiful!
