How did you get into your profession?
Myparents encouraged my love of photography from a very early age by letting me practice in a playful way with a pocket camera. They marveled at the pictures, sometimes discussed them, and pointed out what they liked and what could still be improved. That’s how I received formal instruction from my father (an enthusiastic amateur photographer). My mother taught me to observe details with an artistic, loving eye. Both of these influences are reflected in my work today.
What sets your work apart?
Myplayful, life-affirming, joyful approach to the subject matter quickly sparks enthusiasm in those I work with. My chosen specialties—weddings, beauty sessions, and family and children’s portraits—have shown me how important the relationship with the subjects is. That’s why I always offer bridal couples a get-to-know-you photo shoot to build rapport and, above all, a sense of familiarity.
What trends do you see right now in wedding photography?
Qualityover quantity—couples want high-quality printed photos and exclusive photo books featuring their best shots.
What do you like about the wedding industry?
Manyservice providers do their very best to make this special day unforgettable for the bride and groom. As a photographer, I see my role as capturing those feelings and emotions in visual memories so that they remain tangible even many years later.
How did you get married?
“Smallbut lovely, with dear friends”was the motto for our harmonious, feel-good day. Atmospheric dance music, a delicious barbecue buffet, a relaxed group of guests, and lovely commemorative photos paired with a short, heartfelt video were the most important things for us to have a joyful celebration.
What does happiness mean to you?
Happinessis a state of mind. A sense of joy and balance in life creates a state of emotional contentment. We enjoy doing things when they make us happy. It fulfills me when I get to capture couples in love, laughing siblings, or harmonious families through photography.
