What kind of music do I actually want for my wedding, and is anything possible?
A good place to start is with songs you both share that have a special story behind them, or songs that you simply both like. This helps me get a sense of what kind of musical tastes you have. In principle, almost anything is possible with any ensemble—it just depends on the mood a particular ensemble conveys. A jazz band and a string quartet can create completely different moods for the very same song.
How many musicians should I book for my wedding?
Depending on your budget and whether you want to hear the original sound for certain songs, there’s usually a trade-off between perfectly reproduced sound and practicality. Generally speaking, 90 percent of the songs can be performed very well with between 3 and 5 musicians. Duos are also a good option for the reception. I’m also happy to offer a complete musical package here:
Can I have a wedding song composed for me or my favorite piece arranged?
Giving the gift of music is something truly special. The possibilities are endless.
