DJ Günther Schmidt He has been working as a professional wedding and event DJ throughout Eastern Austria for more than 10 years and has had the pleasure of accompanying many couples on the happiest day of their lives. He is very flexible when it comes to selecting music and always adapts to the preferences of the couple and their guests. He is also skilled at seamlessly blending songs together, ensuring a continuous flow of dancing on the dance floor.
In addition to providing musical entertainment, DJ Günther Schmidt is also happy to serve as the emcee at your wedding and announce important parts of the program, such as the wedding cake or the first dance. He’ll also coordinate with your witnesses regarding the games at your wedding and is happy to provide the musical accompaniment for them as well.
Of course, an experienced wedding DJ also takes care of organizing all the necessary equipment, such as sound and lighting systems. He’ll bring everything to your wedding venue and handle both setup and takedown. That way, you can relax and focus entirely on your wedding. Optionally, he also offers a photo booth that you can use throughout the evening to print out unlimited copies of your best and funniest snapshots.
Günther Schmidt also works closely with other service providers and would be happy to offer you a combination of a DJ and a saxophonist—or even a full band—for your wedding reception, ceremony, or reception. Since getting to know you personally is very important to him, every booking is preceded by a personal consultation during which you can find out if the chemistry between you is right. During this conversation, you can also discuss your wishes and ideas for the celebration.

What kind of music do you play?
As an open-format DJ, I have a very extensive repertoire of music spanning many genres. My focus is primarily on commercial music and the hits from the last 30 years. Later in the evening, I’d be happy to bring a real club vibe to your party with house and club music. I generally decline requests for “heavy metal weddings” or similar events.
Would you like us to send you a playlist in advance?
Since it's rare to know in advance what the guests will actually be in the mood for once they're there, that's not necessary. Of course, we'll discuss your wishes and ideas beforehand. Once we're there, it's my job to play the right songs in the right versions at the right time to throw you an awesome party.
Do you mix the music, too?
Yes. I'm skilled at mixing two songs together, and with this mixing technique, I ensure a continuous flow of dancing on the dance floor, especially during peak time.
Can I request specific songs?
Of course, your guests are welcome to request songs from me. Depending on the mood, I’ll decide which songs to play and when.
Should we put out music request cards?
Please don't. That's usually just where your guests' funny song requests end up as they try to outdo each other. I much prefer it when guests come directly to me to share their requests.
Will you also be the emcee at the wedding reception?
I'm happy to announce important parts of the program, such as the wedding dance, the wedding cake, or the throwing of the bridal bouquet.
Will you be bringing a sound and lighting system, too?
Yes. My wedding packages always include all the necessary sound and lighting equipment. You also have the option to book my photo booth.
Are YOU definitely coming to our wedding, too?
Definitely YES—I'm not a DJ agency; if you book me, I'm guaranteed to be the one at your party.
What happens if you get sick?
I work very closely with other wedding DJs, and I’m also good friends with many of my colleagues. In an emergency, I can rely on this network so that one of my fellow DJs can take over your wedding. Unfortunately, I can’t give a 100% guarantee—especially on peak dates—but if the worst-case scenario were to actually happen, I’ll of course do everything I can to ensure you aren’t left without a DJ on your wedding day.
When should we contact you?
The sooner, the better—popular dates during the peak season (April–October) are often booked up 1 to 1 1/2 years in advance.
