Very First Snow: Elopement at Lünersee

Lake Lünersee is located at an altitude of just under 2,000 meters in southern Vorarlberg and is known throughout Austria as a turquoise-blue natural gem. It was just recently voted the most beautiful place in Austria on ORF’s “9 Places – 9 Treasures.” Summer photos featuring lush greenery and blue waters are particularly well-known and widely shared—but even in wintry temperatures, the area around the lake offers a very special atmosphere.

Our elopement photo shoot was marked by the “very first snow”—that is, the season’s first snowfall—and an icy wind. For just a few brief, precious moments, the lake emerged from the thick fog. The mood had something truly mystical about it and perfectly complemented our concept: a color palette of burgundy and rose gold, with velvet as the main fabric.

Beautiful photos at Lake Lünersee? Anyone can do that. But the freezing weather turned our shoot into something truly special. What a spine-tingling adventure!
