Off-Road Elopement – Mini Wedding in Styria

There are couples who don’t need much to be happy. Sina and Bernhard from Styria are one such couple. They love to travel, enjoy their freedom, and believe that “less is more.” So it’s hardly surprising that they decided on an elopement wedding. At an altitude of 1,650 meters, the couple exchanged vows in peaceful intimacy, with their dogs serving as witnesses. This wedding inspiration shows that it’s not important to have a big wedding—it’s important to celebrate a great love.

What makes Sina and Bernhard’s small off-road wedding special is Sina and Bernhard themselves. The two are celebrating just as they are. Sina pairs her chic two-piece wedding dress with a leather jacket and comfortable Doc Martens—not only because it looks outrageously stylish, but also because it just wouldn’t be her style to walk around an alpine pasture in high heels. The groom is also dressed casually yet stylishly, and the two four-legged friends are sporting pretty floral collars. To match the theme, a beautiful floral semicircle was arranged for the outdoor wedding ceremony—essentially a horizontal version of a wedding arch.

The Land Rover Defender, which the bride and groom regularly use for their travels, also serves as a great wedding car. Its hood was turned into a wedding table, and it not only offers the off-road capability needed to satisfy the couple’s thirst for freedom, but also plenty of space for getting ready, as a place to spend the night, for writing postcards to loved ones, and, of course, for cuddling.
