La Dolce Vita: An Italian-inspired wedding at the Schloss Vasoldsberg

Although Paris is considered the “City of Love,” the world’s most famous love story actually took place in Verona. It’s a coincidence that the bride in this styled shoot—like the heroine of that story—is also named Juliet. The fact that Italy served as the inspiration for the wedding design, however, is no coincidence.

Admittedly, the Schloss Vasoldsberg is a bit farther from the sea than the land of la Dolce Vita. But instead of salty waves, a heavenly-scented sea of flowers awaits the bride and groom here. Color played a major role in the wedding design for this Italian-inspired celebration. From the stationery to the bridesmaids’ dresses, the tempting antipasti, and the dessert table, everything shines in colorful harmony. The wedding cake becomes a special “ Blickfang ,” drawing attention with its floral pattern and delicious orange border.

Since this Juliet has found her Romeo and, unlike the character in the novel, is celebrating a dreamy happy ending, the small balcony doesn’t serve as the setting for secret conversations, but rather as the ideal location for the bouquet toss—and thus, perhaps, as the starting point for the next love story.
