With passion and great attention to detail, Wimmer schneidert creates stunning wedding outfits. The lovingly decorated wedding studio is stocked with enchanting wedding dirndls and harmoniously coordinated wedding outfits for him and her.
Whether it’s a white bridal dirndl or a wedding dirndl you’d like to wear on future occasions—we have a wide variety of dresses in stock that you can try on. The dresses are custom-made in our in-house tailor shop, which allows us to accommodate individual requests for colors and styles. The base materials include beautiful silk brocade fabrics, fine linen, pure silk taffeta, and delicate cotton fabrics.
The groom isn’t left out either: whether in lederhosen, a suit, or a frock coat— Wimmer schneidert offers a wide selection of wedding attire for him as well. With warm and expert advice, the bride and groom will be perfectly coordinated—even in their appearance!
How did you get into your line of work?
My love for this profession was, so to speak, instilled in me from birth. My father was a master tailor, and I am now carrying on this wonderful tradition into its ninth generation. I am constantly amazed by how versatile and varied this beautiful craft is.
What makes you so special?
Together with my team, I create beautiful dresses, blazers, and leather pants. Every finished piece makes the world a little more colorful, cheerful, and beautiful. The many individual steps involved lead to a wonderful final result that brings a smile to the customer’s face. I’m glad I chose such a creative and beautiful craft.
What do you love about the wedding industry?
Brides and grooms come to us to find an extraordinary outfit for their special day. It should be one-of-a-kind, a real showstopper—sometimes in white, sometimes designed to be worn for many different occasions. In any case, it should be extraordinary. I love helping brides and grooms on this journey. It’s always exciting to see the amazing creations that come to life.
What trends are you noticing right now?
There’s a trend toward colorful wedding outfits, ranging from pastel shades—which are currently dominant—to bolder hues. The classic linen dirndl is also a popular choice for weddings. For the wedding ceremony, the dress is paired with a white apron made of silk taffeta or lightweight silk organza, and for later events, with an apron in a bolder shade.
How did you get married?
Unfortunately, my wife and I didn't get married in traditional dress. I would definitely do things differently today. My daughter had a big traditional wedding. It was beautiful. The fun and lively atmosphere, all the colorful outfits—that's the kind of wedding I'd want today, too.
