When is the perfect time to pick out your wedding dress?

The ideal time to choose your dream dress is when the bride feels ready—that feeling, but also having enough time to figure out her style before the appointment, are especially important. Typically, the ideal wedding date is booked at a venue about a year in advance, and shortly thereafter, the bridal consultation appointment takes place here at our store. If you plan for a timeframe of about 9 months to order the dress and ensure that alterations and details are executed perfectly, everything will go smoothly.

How many dresses and vendors do you carry in your store?

We work with approximately 60 bridal fashion labels—ranging from major, internationally active brands to exclusive couture labels and small, exquisite ateliers. We have more than 1,000 dresses available for try-on in our store; some can be taken home right away, some are reordered for the bride, and countless other dresses can be ordered from the supplier through us.

What advice would you like to share with future brides?

It’s tempting to make a big deal out of your bridal consultation appointment so you can share the joy of finding the perfect outfit with lots of friends. However, some brides forget how difficult it can be to be exposed to so many different opinions. Ultimately, the only thing that matters is the bride’s opinion, her style, and her gut feeling. That’s why I recommend bringing no more than three people who are closest to your heart, so you can focus entirely on yourself. It’s also a good idea to look for styles and designs that appeal to you beforehand, but don’t get too fixated on any one specific design. Brides should stay open to whatever makes them shine during the appointment, even if it differs from the dream design they had in mind.
