Growing up on a farm, Johanna developed a deep love for nature from a young age. Her mom and grandmothers taught her how precious every single piece of fruit in the garden is. These treasures of nature were lovingly turned into jams, compotes, and desserts. “It just tastes best at home!”—today, just as back then, the pastry chef cherishes this fundamental belief. That’s why, year after year, she harvests her own plums, apples, pears, and cherries and incorporates them into your wedding creations. Many of the ingredients she needs for your cake actually grow right outside the door of her bakery!

Rührlerei also produces exclusively on a made-to-order basis. Through this approach, Johanna and her team are helping to reduce food waste.
