Patricia Wagner I am always fascinated by just how creative, lively, and full of emotion a non-religious wedding ceremony can be. No matter what gender you are, where your roots lie, what religion you practice, or what color your skin is—all that matters here is love.

View GalleryI think weddings are magical, and independent wedding ceremonies are simply fascinating and unique! Every time my friend Miriam—who’s also a wedding officiant—told me about beautiful, emotional weddings, my desire to create those goosebump-inducing moments myself grew stronger.
I am a very emotional, curious, and sincere optimist. I prefer to make decisions based on my gut—I’m spontaneous by nature. I try to support my couples as a friend, offering both advice and practical help. All of this comes through in my speech and makes the ceremony authentic and personalized.
I love that the wedding industry is a big community that always sticks together and supports everyone. Everyone is really passionate about what they do. How could it be any other way—after all, as a wedding service provider, you get to be a part of one of the most unique days in a couple’s life.
In response to the current situation, micro-weddings are becoming increasingly popular. Getting married in a very small or intimate setting can be a truly special experience. Added to this is the unique venue. The location where the wedding ceremony takes place is becoming increasingly important to couples. That’s why they’re choosing the most beautiful and extraordinary places for their ceremonies. A sense of freedom and a connection to nature play a major role here. Sustainability is also increasingly becoming a priority at weddings.
We rented a villa for two days and turned it into a festival. The highlight, however, was the non-religious wedding ceremony, which captivated everyone with its casual atmosphere and pure love. The theme was: “A Dream Come True.” There was no dress code, and the top priority was a laid-back and relaxed atmosphere. So it was perfect that after the ceremony, many of us jumped into the pool!
