Frequently Asked Questions About Valentina Waroschitz

What kind of ceremony would you like to officiate someday?

In general, I’m open to different kinds of ceremonies and am happy to be inspired by your ideas, as long as the wedding ceremony is taken seriously and treated with respect. If a couple would like to celebrate a Viking-themed wedding because it means a lot to them, then I’m ready for that adventure—but as I said: Despite all the joy and humor, the wedding ceremony should still be taken seriously and understood for what it is: a moment when two people want to seal their love with their “I do,” commit to being together, and firmly believe in a shared future.

What is the most important thing to you in a ceremony?

The bride and groom, their family, and their guests should feel comfortable at all times. They should be able to experience this day “with” their guests rather than “in front of” them, and feel confident that everything is just right as it is. It’s all for their benefit—they can smile with relief and feel reassured that their relationship is truly special and wonderful.

There are already plenty of wedding speakers out there—what do you have to say about the competition?

Just by browsing the Austria Wedding website, you can see right away: Every wedding officiant is different. And that’s wonderful, because the people who want a ceremony are all very different, too. Ultimately, we service providers leave it up to the couples to decide whether there might be a “match.” But I find that couples really do have a good sense of this, and I trust their intuition. I’ve been very lucky so far, because the couples have always been a great fit for me—so much so that the words just flow when I write, since I can really put myself in their shoes. And because I’m happy to officiate for such inspiring people.
