No, the civil registry office provides the legal framework for your wedding ceremony. The non-religious wedding ceremony can take place immediately afterward or even several weeks or months later at a location of your choice. During the wedding ceremony, you can say “I do” to each other once again in a completely personalized way at a place close to your hearts—whether alone or surrounded by your family and friends.
How did you come to offer non-religious wedding ceremonies?
Love and the stories surrounding it have always fascinated me. At some point, I realized: I don’t just want to watch people celebrate their special day—I want to help shape it. As a freelance officiant, I have the opportunity to find words that touch hearts and to create ceremonies that are as unique as the couples themselves. This profession brings together everything that’s important to me: listening, storytelling, celebrating—and helping to create the magic of an unforgettable moment.
Is it also possible to incorporate rituals—and which ones do you suggest?
Yes, I’d be happy to! Rituals are a wonderful way to make your wedding ceremony even more personal and symbolic. Whether it’s a traditional handfasting ceremony, lighting a wedding candle, planting a tree, a sand ritual, or something entirely unique—together, we’ll choose something that suits you and reflects your story. Some couples bring their own ideas, while others let me inspire them. There are no set rules—anything that feels right to you is allowed.
When is the latest we should book you?
It’s best to do this as early as possible—many couples book their date 12 to 18 months in advance. Popular wedding months like May, June, and September often fill up quickly. If you have a specific date in mind, just get in touch—sometimes a date becomes available on short notice.
Do you also officiate weddings abroad or at unique locations?
Yes, I’d be happy to! Whether on the beach, in the mountains, in a romantic garden, or in a small chapel—I love organizing wedding ceremonies in places that hold special meaning for you. Weddings abroad are also possible. The only important thing is that we plan together well in advance so that your dream location and all the details are perfectly arranged.
