How do we find the right speaker?
It's simple: Trust your gut! Because in the end, what matters most is that you feel comfortable with your independent wedding officiant, that you trust her, and that there’s a good connection between you.
What’s the process like when working with you leading up to an independent wedding ceremony?
Feel free to email me or send me a direct message on Instagram with your preferred date; you can also reach me by phone or through the contact form on my website. After that, we’ll schedule a no-obligation introductory meeting to see if we click. After all, in the best-case scenario, we’ll be spending more time together over the next few months. If we click and there’s mutual trust, we’ll move on to the less romantic part: finalizing the booking agreement—but that’s a necessary step. Afterward, I’ll send you questionnaires so I can get to know you better. This is followed by a detailed consultation, during which we’ll plan the ceremony’s flow and delve into your shared history, your wishes, and your vision. Because the more I know about you, the more personalized, unique, and authentic I can make your speech. And then we’ll have already reached the highlight: your moment, your big day, your celebration of love!
Can we incorporate rituals into the non-religious wedding ceremony?
Of course—I’d love to! As many as you’d like, and whichever ones you choose. Rituals in non-religious wedding ceremonies are symbolic acts meant to highlight the love between you as a couple. Rituals can be performed just between the two of you, or together with your guests. From the classic exchange of rings to mixing a cocktail together or planting a tree—there are almost no limits to your creativity. Because here, too, the same rule applies: It should be just right for you and reflect who you are!
Do you also reach out to guests in advance who are planning to make contributions during the ceremony?
Yes, I’d be happy to! If you’d like, I can also interview guests of your choice about you beforehand to make your speech even more personal. I’d also be happy to get in touch with your brother, sister, aunt, etc., if they’re planning to speak during the ceremony, so we can prepare everything as best as possible. Of course, I’ll always coordinate this with you.
Do you also provide a marriage certificate?
The marriage certificate is a precious document that seals your love during the ceremony. It embodies the power of two signatures that unite not only the names, but also the hopes, love, and dreams of two people. I’m a huge fan of wedding certificates, and I’d be happy to provide you with a personalized one upon request.
Can we book you for other celebrations as well?
Yes, I also offer baby-welcoming ceremonies. The baby-welcoming ceremony—often called a “Kiwi”—is, as the name suggests, a celebration to welcome a new family member. The “Kiwi” is often chosen as a non-religious alternative to a baptism. No matter where you’d like to celebrate—whether at home in your garden, at a beautiful venue, or somewhere in the mountains or by a lake—your little miracle takes center stage! And yes, you can include godparents in a baby welcome celebration as well. If you have any further questions, feel free to reach out via the contact form on my website. I look forward to hearing from you!
