The castle has its origins in a true love story: Philipp of Württemberg gave it to his beloved Archduchess Maria Theresia as a wedding gift. The castle can accommodate up to 120 wedding guests. When the weather is nice, both the wedding ceremony and parts of the reception can be held in the idyllic castle park. And the banquet halls with historic silk wallpaper, the marble terrace, and the airy, glass-roofed atrium will make your wedding experience complete. The atrium, which serves as an indoor option for the ceremony, can also be converted into an open-end party area in the evening. The location is also impressive: It takes about two and a half hours to reach Lake Traunsee from Vienna or Munich. The Linz Airport is only fifty minutes away.
