About Ländle Liebelei

Isabelle discovered her love for beautiful letters and typography while training to become a graphic designer. After years of working on the computer, her desire to return to the basics grew stronger in 2018. Since then, the Röthner native has been creating personalized gift ideas and eye-catching pieces in a handwritten style with great attention to detail—including, of course, for weddings.

Whether it's ring boxes, plaques, signs, glass, mirrors, or jackets—almost anything can be embellished with modern calligraphy or hand lettering.

For groups of six or more, as well as bachelor and bachelorette parties, Isabelle also offers customized workshops on hand lettering and brush lettering. In these workshops, participants learn the fine art of beautiful lettering and can design part of their own wedding stationery.

Frequently Asked Questions About Ländle Liebelei

A Conversation with Owner Isabelle Franchina

How did you get into your career?
Even as a child, I loved doing crafts and painting. While studying graphic design in Ravensburg, I discovered my love for typography and letters. After years spent in front of a computer, I finally wanted to get back to “handwork” and rediscovered my passion for handwriting. Since 2018, I’ve been deeply immersed in hand lettering and write on just about anything I can get my hands on.

What do you like about the wedding industry?
The emotions! The “most beautiful day of your life” should be remembered just as beautifully as it was. It makes me happy when I can play a part in that.

What trends are you noticing right now?
Run-of-the-mill is a thing of the past. A wedding is increasingly becoming an event that’s not meant to be “off-the-rack.” Everything should come together and be perfectly tailored to the bride and groom. Hand lettering, of course, fits perfectly into this.

How did you get married yourself?
We had a civil ceremony, but still with all the trappings of a church wedding. The ceremony took place at the “Der Berghof” hotel in Lech, and most of the guests stayed there as well. It was important to us that no one had to worry about how to get home. That way, all the guests could focus entirely on the celebration, and it was absolutely lovely to have breakfast with everyone the next morning. I made the stationery and decorations myself, and even though it was stressful, it was still a wonderful time.
