Since 1984, goldsmith Elisabeth Krainer has dedicated herself to the design and masterful craftsmanship of one-of-a-kind jewelry. After completing a traditional apprenticeship in Graz, working in Vaduz, and spending a formative period in the U.S., she studied at the Hanau Academy of Art and Design and earned her master’s certification in Wiesbaden. Her fascination with design and form deepened while working in a shared studio in Vienna—in 1999, she opened her first studio on Westbahnstraße.
Today, the studio is located on Petersplatz, right in the heart of downtown Vienna. Here, in a personal atmosphere, pieces of jewelry with a story are created—shaped by 40 years of experience, great dedication, and the desire for the rings to endure for generations and bring genuine joy.

How long does it take to make wedding rings?
Ideally, you should visit the studio 8 weeks or more before your wedding date. The production time depends on the design. If the rings are to feature gemstones, for example, it’s definitely a good idea to allow a little more lead time. However, even for last-minute requests, we’ll do our best to make it happen.
How much do wedding rings cost?
That depends on the material and the weight of the rings. It’s not possible to give a general answer—partly because the price of gold fluctuates so much. Additional gemstones or diamonds also affect the price. Engravings are included with us.
How are the wedding rings made?
All of our wedding rings are handcrafted to a master craftsman’s standard in our own studio on Petersplatz. Each pair of rings is created individually and according to your wishes.
Can couples bring their own materials to be incorporated into the rings?
Genuine jewelry, such as wedding rings from grandparents, is always welcome—regardless of the alloy. You can also bring gold coins or similar items. We’ll then discuss the specific feasibility with you in person at the studio.
How do couples find the right wedding rings?
We’ll figure that out together. No matter the alloy, shape, or size—take your time, try on our “Wild Wedding Rings” in the studio, and find what suits you best. It’s important to us that you feel comfortable with your rings and that they fit like cozy “slippers.”
