Wedding Rings in Burgenland:Atelier Götz

March 2011, Hotel Savoyen, Vienna: The young master goldsmiths of 2010 are honored. This is the moment when Karin and Andreas met. Three years later, they got married, and in 2020, Atelier Götz opened in Neudörfl. 

When it comes to wedding rings, people here turn to companies like Collection Ruesch or Fischer Trauringe—firms with over 140 years of experience. When rings belonging to grandparents or great-grandparents are brought to the workshop for refurbishment, it often becomes clear that people trusted these brands even back then.

With the “Konfischerator,” the couple can design their rings from the comfort of their own home. The design is then reviewed in the studio to ensure it’s feasible, the ring sizes are tried on, and the order is placed together. Some ideas can only be crafted entirely on-site—such as the palm-line rings (where the partner’s palm lines are modeled on the outside of the rings) or the Infinity models (where the pair of rings is crafted from a single piece and then split).

Master goldsmiths primarily work with platinum and gold in the finenesses standard in Austria. They are also happy to rework heirlooms. There are virtually no limits to what can be engraved—whether it’s a name and date, a person’s handwriting, or even the coordinates of a significant location (such as the place where the couple first met, their wedding ceremony, or their shared home).
