One of the biggest challenges for couples when planning a wedding is managing the budget. Unfortunately, it’s very easy to get overwhelmed by all the wonderful options and ideas, and costs can quickly spiral out of control. Clear budget planning and prioritizing the most important elements are therefore crucial. Another challenge is time management. Coordinating the various vendors, meeting deadlines, and completing all tasks on time can be stressful—especially when balanced against a very busy work and family life. Communication and decision-making can also be difficult, particularly if the couple has different ideas or if outside opinions from family and friends come into play. Here, it’s important to find compromises, set boundaries, and clearly communicate your own wishes. Ultimately, however, emotional stress can also be a major challenge. A wedding is a significant life event, and expectations are often very high. Couples should take regular breaks and remember that, in the end, it’s about their love—not about the perfect celebration.
What does wedding planning with you look like?
Generally speaking, it depends on the desired scope of the planning. I offer various fixed-price packages, each designed to meet specific needs. However, the first step in planning a wedding together is always a detailed, free consultation with the couple to understand their ideas, wishes, and needs. We discuss the budget, the style, and the theme of the wedding, as well as any special requests and the biggest challenges they’re currently facing. If the general conditions—and, most importantly, the chemistry—are right and we decide to work together, there’s an onboarding session (with a little surprise for every couple), and we begin planning the wedding.
Depending on the package you choose, I’ll then create a detailed budget plan and handle every aspect of the wedding—from the venue and catering to the decorations and invitations. Regular updates, coordination, and close communication with the couple are crucial to ensuring that everything runs smoothly and their vision becomes a reality. Of course, I’m also happy to support the couples on the wedding day itself and ensure a relaxed and worry-free celebration.
How do you stay informed about current trends in the wedding industry, and how do you incorporate them into your planning?
First off, I have to say that, in my opinion, trends shouldn’t be given too much importance. However, I do stay informed about current trends in the wedding industry by regularly reading trade magazines, listening to podcasts, attending wedding fairs, and networking with other wedding planners and vendors. I also use social media and online platforms to gather inspiration, discover new ideas, and develop my own. I incorporate these trends into my planning by adapting them to the couple’s individual style and preferences. But it’s important for me to emphasize once again that weddings shouldn’t just be trendy—above all, they should be personal and unique.
