Christina is a wedding photographer from Styria—and describes herself as a dreamer who likes to be a little crazy and emotional. As a truly emotional person, the photographer loves melancholy, autumn, rain, and fog—but also the moment when the fog lifts and the sun breaks through.
It is precisely this feeling that she wants to capture in her wedding photos—both in her work and in her personal life, Christina values people who are authentic and unique. For her, imperfection, a little chaos, and unplanned situations are all part of the experience. The Styrian photographer’s intention is for people to lose themselves in her photos, to immerse themselves in images that touch the heart. How long have you been photographing weddings?
In 2015, I started out as a second shooter at my first wedding. I haven’t been able to get enough of it ever since. What really moves me about weddings are the unposed emotions I get to capture. There’s no need to stage anything or direct anyone—you can just be yourself and experience the day firsthand. Over time, I’ve come to love unconventional weddings. You should spend your day exactly as you wish, far removed from all conventions and social pressures.
What’s your approach to photography?
My goal is to capture the day exactly as it happened. With all the emotions, the highlights, but also with a little bit of chaos. To me, documentary photography means interfering with the day as little as possible. The photos shouldn’t look like polished magazine spreads—they should be authentic representations of you. It’s important to me that we build a strong foundation and get to know each other before your wedding.
