For Paul Dostal , what makes music so special is that it can express what we often can't put into words at that crucial moment. With his voice, he gives love a sound and highlights the emotions of your wedding day in an honest and sensitive way.
Singing has been a part of Paul’s life for as long as he can remember. Even as a young man, he had the opportunity to sing at weddings, baptisms, and funerals, and through these experiences, he learned how deeply music can touch people. To give his voice even greater expressiveness, he trained as a baritone at the Graz Conservatory. This training has given him musical confidence; however, what remains most important to him is always the emotion and the connection to the people for whom he sings.
Paul tailors the musical program specifically to you and your wedding ceremony—whether you’re getting married in a civil ceremony, a non-denominational ceremony, or a church wedding. Together with the musician, you’ll select songs that fit your story, the atmosphere, and the individual moments of your ceremony. His repertoire ranges from soulful ballads and modern pop songs to classical and German-language pieces. If your personal favorite song isn’t listed, Paul will be happy to learn it for you if possible.
This experienced wedding singer performs primarily in Styria. For special wedding occasions, he’s also happy to travel to Carinthia, Upper Austria, Lower Austria, or Burgenland. With heartfelt singing, a warm baritone voice, and a keen sense of the moment, he’ll accompany your wedding ceremony and create musical memories that will remain tied to your wedding day for years to come.
A wedding brings together many emotions: love, joy, excitement, and sometimes even a few tears of joy. Through my singing, I want to capture exactly these emotions and give them even more depth. For me, music is especially beautiful when it’s not just heard, but also felt. When a wedding song truly touches the bride and groom and their guests, that’s the most beautiful part of my performance for me.
I’d be happy to. After all, your wedding should reflect who you are—not just follow a standard set list. You can choose from my repertoire or suggest a song that holds special meaning for you. If the song you’d like isn’t already on the list, I’ll be happy to learn it for you if possible. I’d also be happy to help you decide which song works best for your entrance, the exchange of rings, or your exit.
Following your inquiry, we’ll have a no-obligation conversation about your ideas, the wedding ceremony schedule, and, of course, your song requests. I’ll then carefully prepare everything and coordinate with the church, the civil registry office, or the wedding officiant as needed. On the wedding day, I’ll arrive about an hour early, set up my own sound system, and do a sound check. The system works even without a power connection, so nothing stands in the way of having a wedding ceremony at your favorite location.
