“For me as a singer, it’s always a gift to see how my music touches people at weddings—how it brings tears, smiles, and unforgettable moments.” This is what Kathalena Aigner, also known as “Kathalena Music,” says about her passion as a wedding singer. The acoustic duo from Vienna, consisting of Kathalena and Bernhard, loves the language of music—and the way it moves people. Especially during those magical moments when two people say “I do” to each other, a very special connection forms for them.
Music has been a part of Kathalena’s life for as long as she can remember. Together with her guitarist and life partner Bernhard, she has been performing as an acoustic duo for many years, providing music for wedding ceremonies, receptions, and celebrations—primarily in Vienna, Lower Austria, Burgenland, and Upper Austria. Both Kathalena and Bernhard have been working as professional musicians for a long time. They write their own music and produce songs.
For your wedding, the duo offers various packages: The “Classic Package” includes musical accompaniment for the wedding ceremony and reception, while the “Plus Package” adds a dinner warm-up to the ceremony and reception. For your wedding ceremony, this experienced duo is happy to fulfill all your musical requests—whether you’d like German-language or English songs, or are into songs in regional dialects, Kathalena and Bernhard’s repertoire is diverse. Upon request, Kathalena can accompany couples through their ceremony not only musically but also as an independent wedding officiant. Many couples particularly appreciate it when words and music come from a single source—this creates a cohesive thread running through the entire wedding ceremony. What songs do you play during the agape and the dinner warm-up?
We have a wide repertoire of pop songs from the past few decades. Our setlist ranges from laid-back, chill background music to upbeat pop songs that are perfect for dancing or singing along to. We tailor our setlist to the occasion and the mood.
Can we choose the songs for the wedding ceremony?
Yes, you can request any songs you’d like for the wedding ceremony. As a wedding singer, I love discovering new, beautiful songs through you all. I’ve also put together a Spotify playlist of popular wedding songs that you can use for inspiration. Let me know if you’d like a copy.
What do you need once you're there?
For outdoor weddings, we need protection from the sun or rain (e.g., a parasol). As a duo, we don’t need a power source because our equipment runs on rechargeable batteries. So weddings in the woods or meadows are no problem at all. However, if you book us as a trio, we’ll need a power connection.
