Instead of a traditional wedding cake, guests enjoyed fresh Kaiserschmarren, and at “Grandpa’s Schnaps Bar,” they could sample homemade family schnapps—all under bright sunshine and an impressive mountain panorama.

Unpredictable weather is not uncommon in the mountains, so on Sunday the entire wedding ceremony was moved indoors at the last minute to escape the rain. By the time the reception began, the sun had broken through again, and the wedding vendors didn’t hesitate for a second to hold it outdoors after all. In the afternoon, guests danced exuberantly to the music of a saxophonist, while they stormed the pretzel bar and mixed refreshing drinks at the “pimp your secco bar.” The rustic candy bar was a special highlight, featuring a variety of sweet treats that all perfectly complemented the rustic theme. The mountain theme was also omnipresent in the wedding hall, with tables named after Austrian mountain ranges. Another highlight was the hashtag “#haasinkys,” created especially for the occasion and displayed in large illuminated letters.

Dinner and the celebration took place in the wedding hall. There was plenty of laughter, tears, and dancing until the early hours of the morning.
