Even at weddings, there are things that can’t be planned. This uncertainty applies first and foremost to the weather. Many couples are downright afraid of rain on their big day—but this wedding inspiration shows how a gloomy, foggy atmosphere can actually enhance a wedding theme. On this day, a gray veil of clouds enveloped the bold and cheerful color scheme like a warm embrace, which not only softened the look but also made it even more extraordinary than it would have been otherwise.
On this day, it’s not just the landscape that’s mystically beautiful—the bride is, too: her natural makeup, the soft waves in her hair, theoff-the-shoulder wedding dirndl with a delicate bow and a wool cape—all of it perfectly complements the authentic atmosphere surrounding the mysterious-looking Ödensee.
Whether during the couple’s photo shoot by the lake or during the outdoor wedding ceremony, the bride and groom appear comfortable and confident. The floral arrangements, featuring carefully selected flowers in shades of purple, red, and pink, are just as striking and authentic. The pastries and stationery also embrace this atmospheric, bold color palette: strawberry tartlets, rounded place cards and menu cards in dark red with delicate typography, as well as plenty of small, exquisite decorative details, all come together to create a harmonious and beautiful overall look for this wedding.
And because a traditional wedding in Styria offers so much, the bride and groom dress up all over again in the evening: The bride swaps her flowing, loose hair for a modern bridal hairstyle with a floral wreath, and her classic bridal dirndl for a knee-length dirndl in shades of blue. Her husband puts on lederhosen, traditional knee-high socks, and traditional shoes.
