This is probably one of the most common questions that brides and grooms and wedding guests ask themselves. Often, the whole family attends the wedding, so babysitters—such as uncles, aunts, and grandparents—aren’t an option.
That’s exactly where Julia Pogatschneg comes in. She’d be happy to take care of the little ones at your wedding. You won’t have to organize a thing yourself—she’ll bring games, picture books, and much more to the celebration to keep the children fully engaged and entertained all day long. She’s also happy to supervise the children’s table during the meal.
For any kids who get tired, she even brings sleeping mats so they can rest whenever they want. That way, young and old alike can enjoy the wedding to the fullest and be part of your party until the very end.
How did you get into your line of work?
I realized very early on that I really enjoy being around children—that’s why I took a babysitting course when I was just 14 and looked after children for several families. I didn’t end up in my current profession until later, since I wanted to try out a few different things first. However, nothing has given me as much joy as what I do now.
What do you like about the wedding industry?
There's just something magical about weddings. I want to share that magic with the children, too. For little ones, weddings are usually a bit boring because they have to sit still and listen most of the time. I think that's a shame, because it should be a wonderful celebration for everyone—and that's exactly my goal.
How would you like to get married?
Personally, I imagine a small wedding with just my closest friends. Ideally by a lake or the ocean. Everything should be decorated in white and pink.
