At hochzeitstanz.wien , the focus is on preparing for your big moment—not just learning the steps. The dance school’s experts guide you step by step toward a performance where you’ll feel comfortable, confident, present, and connected. The dance school is located just a few minutes from the Vienna city limits and serves wedding couples from Vienna and all of Lower Austria.
Would you like to surprise your friends and family with something other than a waltz or “Schunkeln”? Or do you simply want to feel comfortable during your dance and be confident in your steps? The personalized dance lessons at hochzeitstanz.wien are definitely the right choice for you.
The dance instructors work with you in a highly personalized and individualized way—a far cry from traditional dance classes. The focus is clearly on you: your choice of music, the right dance style, and your own choreography. In addition to the steps, the music, and the moves, it’s also about how you enter and exit the dance floor—and how you handle your audience and those exhilarating emotions.
Part of the preparation also involves managing nervousness, spatial awareness, and minor insecurities. The school’s competitive dancers have been dancing for more than 20 years—as former World Championship finalists and national champions, they’re happy to show you how to stay calm when things go wrong, maintain your focus, and get back into the flow. Another plus: At hochzeitstanz.wien , you’ll find complete flexibility. Schedules are tailored to your calendar—whether early in the morning, in the evening, on
weekends, or on holidays. The space is reserved exclusively for you—creating a relaxed atmosphere where you can prepare together for your very special dance.

On October 4, 2026, our 8th Luft & Liebe® Wedding Festival will take place in Vienna! The event will once again be held at METAStadt—arguably one of the coolest venues in the city.
Info & TicketsTo ensure you’re ready to perform in front of your guests, we recommend starting at least half a year before the wedding. If you make quick progress, the intervals between lessons can be extended to avoid a time crunch. Dancing should be learned at a leisurely pace, not during the hectic days leading up to the wedding. If you don’t choose your wedding dance until later, that’s not a problem. With our flexible scheduling, we can adequately prepare you even in a shorter timeframe. The absolute minimum is two weeks, but you’ll need plenty of time then. The number of hours depends on various factors: the dances and songs, specific movements and figures, your learning pace as a couple, how well you remember the choreography, and your musical and dancing abilities. Your preferences are our top priority, both in terms of the number of hours and how the lessons are structured. In our experience, you’ll need 10 to 15 hours to create a beautiful wedding dance featuring 1–3 songs.
This varies greatly from couple to couple, and many factors play a role: How many dances and songs do you want to include? What specific movements and steps should be part of the routine? How quickly do you, as a couple, learn the dances and steps? How quickly do you memorize the choreography? How musically inclined are you, and how well can you execute the movements? However, your wishes always come first—both in terms of the number of lessons and the approach you choose. In our experience, you’ll need between 10 and 15 hours to create a beautiful wedding dance featuring 1 to 2 songs. However, for the reasons mentioned above, we cannot guarantee that the wedding dance will be finalized after a specific number of lessons.
The wedding song is a very personal choice. Usually, there are melodies or songs that hold special meaning for you. It could be the moment you first met, your first kiss, or a wonderful memory of a beautiful moment. But it can also simply be a song that you both like and enjoy dancing to. We have a playlist featuring all the songs from every wedding couple who has ever danced with us. We’d be happy to share it with you.
We always recommend that everyone start as early as possible. Unfortunately, we know that the wedding dance is very low on a couple’s to-do list, so every year we have a lot of couples who don’t start lessons with us until just a few weeks before the wedding. Of course, we can prepare you for your wedding dance even on a “last-minute” basis, but that usually comes with a lot of stress. To make learning to dance as enjoyable as possible, we recommend starting six months in advance. That way, we’re also prepared for unforeseen events like illness, vacations, or special occasions and can learn to dance at a comfortable weekly pace.
