Founded in 1987 as a small but charming craft shop, Bastelecke Brigitte is now run by mother and daughter with great attention to detail. Brigitte, along with her daughter Carina and the rest of the team, specializes in weddings and celebrations.
Whether it’s a civil, religious, or non-denominational wedding ceremony—the wedding candle plays an important role in every wedding. That’s why every single wedding candle from Kerzenliebe is one-of-a-kind. Each is lovingly handcrafted, individually engraved, and designed—on request, in harmony with your overall theme: the colors, fonts, and designs of your invitations are incorporated to create a harmonious overall look.
In the store, you’ll also find a wide selection of templates for wedding boutonnieres, invitations, menu cards, and “tears of joy” handkerchiefs. You can decide whether you’d prefer to make them yourself or have the team handle the production for you.

How did you get into your line of work?
Iwas very creative even as a child. In 1987, I was able to fulfill a dream when I took over a small craft store. In 2014, we moved to a larger storefront where our wide selection could be better showcased. My daughter Carina joined our team in 2016, bringing new energy and lots of ideas. Together, we decided in 2019 to launch an online store as well.
What makes you so special?
Wedesign wedding candles that are completely customized to the bride and groom’s wishes. We lovingly handcraft our own lettering, logos, floral wreaths, and patterns onto the candles. This makes each candle one-of-a-kind and perfectly tailored to the bride and groom.
What do you like about the wedding industry?
For us, thebest partof the wedding industry is that we get to accompany happy couples on a small part of their journey. The wedding candle plays an important role at every wedding—whether it’s a civil, church, or non-denominational ceremony. It brings us joy to know that we can help create a lasting memory of that beautiful day.
What trends are currently emerging?
Earth tones and pastels combined with lace and wood are very popular withus right now. That said, there isn’t really one specific trend here. Every candle is unique and one-of-a-kind! Thanks to our wide selection and years of experience, we can fully cater to our couples’ wishes and bring them to life.
How did you get married?
I’ve been happily married for 28 years and always love looking back on that time. My daughter Carina got married in 2019 in a gorgeous white lace dress. The entire decor was in shades of cream, lime green, and taupe, paired with hydrangeas and roses. There was plenty of dancing, laughter, and celebration—a wonderful party!
