Really, not at all! We’re busting the myth of the especially passionate and perfectly staged wedding night. Not because we aren’t romantic enough to imagine this beautiful evening by candlelight, but because we know the wedding day schedule very well, and there are a lot of things nobody tells you about the wedding night…

The perfect wedding night? What a cliché!

The demands of a wedding with many guests are high—the bride and groom shake hands, accept gifts, make small talk, enjoy the entertainment, dance, and drink. It’s no surprise that by late at night, they’re simply out of energy. But that doesn’t mean you should skip your first time as a married couple. After all, there can never be enough love and sex!

You might want to let go—at least a little—of the image of the perfectly planned wedding night with a negligee, chocolate-dipped strawberries, champagne, and music. After all, after so many hours of attention and celebrating, maybe you’ll just want to unwind for a bit and snuggle up together on the couch?! You’re two adults who (ideally) haven’t just met yesterday—so approach your wedding night accordingly. Anything goes, nothing is a must!
