A wonderful, spring-like color scheme envelops the magnificent walls of Rabenstein Castle in Styria. This magnificent fairytale castle offers the ideal backdrop for an enchanting wedding, and its historic walls exude an unforgettable atmosphere. The colors of the selected flowers are reflected in the castle’s Baroque hall, which, with its opulent decor and majestic charm, is the perfect setting for a romantic celebration.
View GalleryWhy does it make sense to hire a wedding planner?
The bride and groom typically get married only once in their lives, whereas, as a wedding planner, I’ve been involved in many weddings over the years. This gives me a certain level of expertise that allows me to easily navigate potential pitfalls. Thanks to my experience, I also recommend only the best vendors to my couples—ones with whom I’ve had an excellent working relationship myself. Thanks to these factors, my couples can sit back and focus on the enjoyable aspects of wedding planning. Above all, that includes the cake tasting!
What should you absolutely not skimp on at a wedding?
That varies for every couple. What do you want to look back on fondly even after many years of marriage? For some, it’s walking down the aisle with their partner, the meal, or the reception. Personally, I wouldn’t skimp on the food and would prioritize regional ingredients and sustainability to create an extraordinary culinary experience for the guests. I also wouldn’t skimp on the photographer. They capture the most beautiful moments for eternity, and you’ll love looking back at those photos time and time again. The atmosphere at a wedding also stays with many people for a long time. That’s why you should invest in good live music or a DJ who really knows their craft.
What’s the secret to a well-coordinated wedding schedule?
It takes a lot of tact to ensure that the day runs smoothly. You shouldn’t get too hung up on a strict schedule and should sometimes be willing to accept minor deviations. After all, if the wedding party is having a good time, you shouldn’t necessarily interrupt it. A well-balanced schedule with highlights that ensure every guest has a great time is essential. This includes good—and, above all, appropriate—music, creative and fun activities for guests, and, if children are present, of course, a variety of childcare options. The most important thing is always that a party should never be interrupted!
Is there a philosophy that best describes wedding planning?
“Follow your heart!”—after all, that’s why people get married.
