What services do you offer as a wedding officiant?
My services include a free initial consultation—which can also be a video call—so you can decide if I’m the right fit for you. A personal preliminary meeting that serves as the foundation for the speech. And I’ll provide you with a brochure full of ideas for your ceremony, as well as extensive advice on how to structure it (e.g., speeches, symbolic rituals). I’m always happy to answer any questions you may have leading up to your big day. Of course, my services also include a custom-written speech and detailed planning of the ceremony. I’ll also lead the ceremony from the moment you enter until you leave.
What happens if you’re unable to attend due to illness or a similar situation?
If I’m unable to attend at the last minute due to unforeseen circumstances, my agency will make every effort to find a replacement (fortunately, this has never been necessary).
What kind of atmosphere can we expect at the wedding ceremony?
Think about how you want to feel. You should carefully consider which songs have played a role in your relationship and which ones give you goosebumps. My tip: songs sung live touch the heart much more deeply and really stir up emotions. Think about whether you’re more of the party-loving type or if you’d rather keep things a bit more low-key. The guest list is important, too! Do you feel comfortable at the venue and well taken care of? Just get a feel for these aspects, and together we’ll create the atmosphere you want for your wedding ceremony.
How long does a non-religious wedding ceremony last?
From experience, I can say that anon-religious wedding ceremony lasts about thirty to forty minutes. I don’t recommend making it any longer, as it should never drag on. However, I always engage your guests and involve them in the ceremony so that they feel comfortable and included at all times.
