What inspired you to accompany bridal couples—in addition to singing— mit Worten ?
Even as a singer, I’ve witnessed firsthand at countless weddings just how moving the moments of a wedding ceremony can be. Over time, I’ve felt a growing desire to be a part of these special moments—not just through music, but also through my words. Today, I’m able to combine both—and that’s exactly what makes every wedding ceremony so unique.
What is particularly important to you when it comes to a wedding ceremony?
It’s important to me that the bride and groom feel supported and can experience this special moment with all their senses. A non-religious wedding ceremony can be anything: emotional, touching, humorous—filled with laughter, tears, and lots of heart. That’s exactly what makes it so special: nothing is prescribed, and everything has its place. The result is a ceremony that’s lively, authentic, and unique—just like the couple’s love.
What makes your ceremonies special?
The harmony between speech and song is what makes my wedding ceremonies so special. Words and music go hand in hand and blend into a single whole. With my sensitive and emotional approach, I’m able to capture the mood of the bride and groom and their guests and reflect it in the ceremony.
As a wedding officiant, what do you love most?
The connection I feel with people and the gratitude they show me when I’ve been able to make a wedding ceremony truly special are what I cherish most. Every love story is different; every wedding is unique. It never fails to move me deeply to be able to accompany couples during these pivotal moments in their lives.
Besides giving a speech and singing, what other role do you play for the bride and groom on their wedding day?
As a wedding officiant and singer, I’m not only responsible for the words and music—I’m also a reliable source of support for the bride and groom. Long before the big day, I work closely with the couple, helping them plan the ceremony and providing reassurance regarding organizational matters. My more than 20 years of experience allow me to pay attention to every detail and work with the couple to find personalized solutions—ensuring that every wish is fulfilled. On the wedding day, I stand by the couple’s side as a calm anchor. Sometimes I’m a source of ideas, sometimes a coordinator, and sometimes just a soothing voice in the background. All of this helps ensure that the couple can let go completely and enjoy the moment to the fullest.
