A non-religious wedding ceremony allows you to have a ceremony tailored to your wishes and dreams. As a couple in love, you are the focus of the ceremony, because it’s about your life together. There are no rules, conventions, or set rituals based on religion, background, or gender. As the wedding couple, you are free to decide how you want to shape your wedding ceremony.
As long as you’d like. Generally speaking, though, the duration depends on how we structure your ceremony. How many songs would you like? Should we include any rituals? Would your witnesses, friends, or family members like to say a few words? All of these factors determine the length. As a general guideline, though, I’d say about 40–50 minutes.
No, a non-legal wedding ceremony has no legal validity. For the marriage to be legally valid, it must be registered at the civil registry office.
Since I want to give each couple my full attention, I only accept one wedding ceremony per day. This allows me to be flexible with my schedule, and I’m happy to accommodate your wishes.
I conduct a detailed preparatory meeting with my couples. This usually lasts about four hours. Afterward, I prepare a questionnaire for my couples, which they should complete separately. I use this information to plan your ceremony.
We'll figure that out during our planning meeting. There are countless wedding rituals—from traditional to completely personalized. The important thing is that the rituals you choose are right for you.
As many as you’d like. Most couples, however, choose three songs: the processional, the “I do” and ring exchange, and the recessional. Of course, it’s entirely up to you which songs you choose. Is there perhaps a song that was playing on the radio when you first met? Did you share your first kiss at a concert by your favorite singer, or is there a particular song you always have to sing along to at the top of your lungs? It’s best to choose songs that mean something to you.
Of course! There are no restrictions here. Groomsmen and bridesmaids are also welcome. If you’d rather say “I do” without witnesses, that’s certainly possible as well.
Fortunately, that has never happened, but if it does, I’ll try to find a replacement in time. Thanks to my training as a public speaker, I have excellent connections with outstanding colleagues and thus have a large network. Further details are outlined in my Terms and Conditions.
Yes, because it’s YOUR love story that we’re honoring and celebrating. After the wedding, I provide my couples with a written transcript of the ceremony. This way, you can revisit your wedding ceremony whenever you have a quiet moment—or even on your first wedding anniversary.
