What’s the goal of a non-traditional wedding ceremony? For independent officiant Tom, the answer is simple: a ceremony that reflects who you are—without the phrase “That’s just how it’s done.” At the same time, though, Tom knows that it’s not enough to simply say, “Just do whatever you want.” That’s why he guides you with a clear framework that still leaves plenty of room for your own ideas. The result is a personalized ceremony that’s a perfect fit for you.
The first step toward a wedding ceremony with Tom is a no-obligation introductory meeting. The purpose of this meeting is not only to discuss your wishes and ideas, but also to find out whether you, as a couple, are a good fit for him—after all, the chemistry between you and your officiant is crucial for an authentic and harmonious wedding ceremony.
Once you’ve decided together on the next step, we’ll have an in-depth consultation. During this meeting, the empathetic wedding speaker Tom will take plenty of time to get to know you as individuals and as a couple. With sensitivity and a healthy dose of humor, he’ll draw out your unique traits and stories to write a speech that perfectly reflects who you are and your relationship.
The result? A personal and unforgettable ceremony that not only celebrates the moment but also marks the perfect start to your life together.

View GalleryInteracting and connecting with people has always been important to me, as I’m a very open-minded, communicative, and humorous person. So, after our wedding and when we found out my wife was pregnant, I started wondering where I really see myself in the future and, above all, what I’d like to tell our daughter one day about what I do for a living. Independent speakers have had a very positive impact on my life twice—once in 2018 when my dad passed away, and again at our wedding. So now I, too, would like to give something back to people through my speeches and ceremonies and accompany you on your journeys—whether it’s a wedding, a celebration of life (funeral), or even a baby shower. Since May 2024, I’ve been the dad of a wonderful daughter, and I know how important it is to welcome a new life into this world. What I love most about my profession is that I get to be a part of every stage of life. So I would be truly delighted if I could become a part of your journey, too!
In fact, it was through the wedding officiant at my own wedding that I discovered the training program for “independent wedding officiants,” and I completed that training there, earning a certification from the WKO. The training wasn’t just helpful in terms of office organization, taxes, or speechwriting—it also helped me improve my stage presence and understand the importance of a powerful ceremony. Of course, I was also able to explore different approaches to independent wedding ceremonies and pick and choose the elements that worked best for me. Now, together, we can create a unique moment to last a lifetime—and have fun doing it.
The first step is a no-obligation introductory meeting so we can see if we envision moving forward together on this journey. During this meeting, we’ll discuss the concept of a non-religious wedding ceremony as well as your ideas, and ideally determine right away “if it’s a good fit.” The second step is a detailed planning session before the ceremony, during which I’d like to get to know you better—both as individuals and as a couple. I ask that you be as open and detailed as possible so that I can speak from the heart in my speech. The third step is the big day—your wedding ceremony!
